Thanksgiving Day Ride 2006
This was a freak day in November for St Louis , temp was in the upper 70's . If you are not familiar with Midwest weather
this was a freak day , one we could not let go to waste . I got on the phone made a few calls , as you all know last minute rides
are always tough to line up . We got lucky and ended up with 8 riders , so off we went south down Highway 61 (nice two lane)
to St Genevieve , Mo and made a lunch stop at the Anvil (great onion rings) . Then off to the Ferry and across the Missippi River right in to
Kaskaskia , Illinois. From there we took the Bluff Road ( another nice two lane) north pass the gravel mines in the bluffs and corn field after
corn field .
As I am writing this little tale (one week later) we had 2 inches of ice and 4 inches of snow on top of that , temp 15 degrees ,
so like I said a freak day in November .
Enjoy the pictures from that day .
Anybody else been down this way and would like to send some pictures , send them to Keith@Hawghardware.com
