The Tail of the Dragon 2006
US 129
I don't know how many of you have ever heard of this road , but I just found it early this year ,and decided to make the trip.
Needless to say I was not disappointed at all ,you might say I was quiet intimidated by it . We had to drive it in and boy was I shocked .
This road US 129 is eleven miles long and contains 318 turns and I do mean turns , as in switch backs , banked left and right . I will have
some links at the bottom of this page for you . WE stayed at a little motel in Robbinsville N. C. called the TWO WHEEL INN , this little place
is only 2 years old and they are still in the building stage . The rooms are quiet nice , but the main draw is they have a garage attached to
your room , big enough for two bikes . I must warn you to pay attention to the road and watch the sport bikes . There were 3 mishaps while we were there ,1 of which ended in the death of the rider , our thoughts are with his family .

This is the wife at Ghost Town Harley Davidson ,we were stuck here for a break down and then the rains came .
Notice the MicUltra while we are waiting , the Road King in the shot is ours .
